Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest grade of matcha tea. It is traditionally used in Japanese Tea Ceremonies, an elaborate ritual in which the host treats their guests to the finest quality matcha, sometimes along with sweets, and which can continue for several hours.
Ceremonial grade matcha can only be made in Japan, from the youngest leaves of the camellia sinensis plant. This matcha tea is sustainably sourced from the Kyoto region.
Matcha is well-known for its impressive health benefits. It contains catechins, which fight free radicals and oxidative stress. Matcha also contains naturally occurring l-theanine, a non-protein amino acid which may reduces stress related symptoms.
Ingredients: 100% Tencha stone-ground green tea.
How to enjoy: Add one teaspoon into 30ml hot water (80ºC) and whisk to a frothy consistency.
